Interview, with McMann and Leon Billings, at Bath (later joined by some others) discussing history of wages, jobs, conditions in the shipyard, beginnings and changes in the union, affiliation with CIO, work history, difficulty in obtaining benefits before the union, bosses and superintendents at the shipyard, destroyers built during the war, strikes, union benefits, and women workers at Bath Iron Works during World War II.

The Maine State Federated Labor Council was founded in 1904 as the Maine State Federation of Labor, a branch of the American Federation of Labor.
